Function: |
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner has the primary responsibility of providing medication management and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) services to clients in all programs at RE and Re-group. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will evaluate and assess the appropriateness and effectiveness of psychotropic medications to assist the client in their mental health treatment, as well as provide psychoeducation regarding prescribed medications, develop and implement treatment plans, and collaborate with the client’s treatment teams and service providers. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for completing and approving Medicaid billable services in Credible that reflect the service being provided to clients. |

Education: | A Master’s Degree in Nursing and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification through American Nursing Credential Center is required. |
Experience: | Experience in providing medication management for children and adults and MAT. |
Specific Skills andrequirements: | Must be at least 21 years of age. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills. Technical requirements include proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and any other applications used by the organization or regulatory agencies. Valid Driver’s License and insurability. Ability to understand and relate to the needs of clients from diverse backgrounds. Ability to read, write and converse in English. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen. Successful completion of a background screening. Successful completion of a TB skin test or proof of a negative chest x-ray or other documentation. |
Specialized Licenses or training: | Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification through American Nursing Credential Center. Maintains 40 hours of Annual Training through Relias or other appropriate sources. Maintains at least minimum training for licensure. Attends all assigned training specific to job assignment. |
