Function:

The Community Impact & Development Coordinator supports the mission and sustainability of Ramey-Estep/Re-group by coordinating community engagement initiatives, supporting development, and strengthening the organization’s presence within community coalitions and partnerships. This role bridges programs, development, and external stakeholders to ensure community involvement and collaboration translate into measurable impact, visibility, and long-term support.

Organizational duties & responsibilities:

  1. The primary responsibility of all staff is to ensure the safety and well-being of all Ramey-Estep/Re-group (RE) clients.
  2. Supports the mission, vision, and values of RE.  Facilitates and adheres to the agency’s code of ethics, policies, and procedures.
  3. Supports all functions that attain and maintain accreditation and compliance with regulatory agencies.
  4. Supports and facilitates positive interaction with clients and staff by exhibiting both in-office and in-public when carrying out job duties:  individual maturity, respect for others, a team-centered approach, maintenance of confidential information, and awareness and sensitivity to cultural and other differences in clients and staff.
  5. Exhibits effective communication skills, including proper use of agency communication systems.
  6. Participates in appropriate professional development programs to attain and maintain competency.
  7. Effectively manages financial and physical resources to achieve the mission of RE.
  8. Reports incidents of abuse or potential abuse involving clients to the appropriate authorities and RE.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Development Support
  1. Coordinate community engagement activities that support stakeholder cultivation and stewardship.
  2. Assist with planning and execution of development events and community-based awareness events.
  3. Support grant development and reporting through data and narrative collection.
  4. Contribute to partner follow-up and impact communications.
Community Engagement & Event
  1. Coordinate outreach activities, informational sessions, and engagement initiatives.
  2. Represent the organization and/or coordinate appropriate organizational representation at community events and meetings.
  3. Assists in the maintenance of engagement program/calendars and documentation.
  4. Ensure activities are mission-aligned and community-responsive.
  5. Maintains a high level of visibility and an approachable image to ensure positive employee relations.
Coalition Integration & Partnership Support
  1. Support participation in community coalitions and collaborative initiatives.
  2. Serve as liaison between coalition partners and internal teams.
  3. Track coalition outcomes and opportunities for alignment with development.
  4. Assist in identifying collaboration and funding opportunities.
Impact Documentation & Reporting
  1. Track community engagement and coalition activities.
  2. Assist with the preparation of reports and presentations.
  3. Support grant and sponsorship compliance documentation.
  4. Share insights to support continuous improvement.
  5. Performs other duties as assigned.

Working conditions/environment:

  1. The schedule is typically Monday – Friday.
  2. Evenings, holidays, weekends, and extra hours may occasionally be required based on event timing.
  3. Work is both community and office-based, with extensive computer usage.
  4. Travel is required for event promotion and participation. Travel will be both local to the Tri-state area and Kentucky state-wide.
  5. Fast-paced environment with the need for quick decisions to deal with any crisis that may arise.
  6. Maintains a positive, professional attitude, contributing to a supportive work environment.

minimum job requirements:

Education:

A Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Human Services, or related field from an accredited college or university is required.
Equivalent experience in nonprofit management, social services, public health administration, or related field may be accepted in place of a Bachelor’s Degree. 

Experience:

Experience in community engagement, health promotion, or partnerships development is strongly preferred.

Specific Skills and

requirements:

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
Commitment to professionally representing RE.
Must maintain a valid Driver’s License and insurability.
Technical requirements include proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and any other applications used by the organization or regulatory agencies.
Ability to understand and relate to the needs of clients from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to read, write, and converse in English.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
Successful completion of a background screening.
Successful completion of a TB skin test or proof of a negative chest x-ray or other documentation.

Specialized Licenses or training:

Successful completion of Excellent Foundations.
Maintain 20 hours of annual training.

The rate of pay for this position starts at $46,000/annually.
